My name is Heberth Bolivar, I am 19 years old and I am from Barranquilla, Colombia. I am studying business administration at Simon Bolivar University.
In this blog I'm going to tell you how my English classes are and what I teach every week in my second level of English at the University, my teacher is called Armando Rivaldo, my English classes are on Wednesdays from 8 to 10 am and Fridays from 8 to 10 am.
Today in English class we were talking about the present continuos and how to add the ING to the verbs.
For example:
1)He is speaking with her friends.
2)She is going shopping tonight.
3)We are playing tennis this weekend.
This is what I did on Thursday
Morning: Yesterday I woke up at 10:00 am
I took a shower at 10:15 am
I had breakfast at 10:30 am
Then I started to do my English homework.Affternoon: I had lunch at 12:40 pm.
I finished my activities at 2:00 pm.
I watched a series on netflix at 6 o'clock.
Night: I went to bed at 10:00 at night.
Today in English class we were talking about the past simple.
1) I went to the beach in cartagena for a swim.
2) I went to a friend's farm and played soccer.
3) On my last vacation, I cooked a stuffed chichen with my mom.
I would like to travel all over Europe because that continent has a lot of history.
I have to go to the university every day, because, I'm studying business administration.
I don't have to cook because my mom makes my food.
I can't go to play, because I have to go to university.
conversations:
A: Hey Yohana where are you oft to?
B: Hi Heberth, I'm going to the class.
A: Really? Don't you usually go there on monday.
B: Yes. But not this monday.
A: how come?
B: Because this monday. I have a doctor appointment.
A: Hey shaila. Why don't we party on sometime?
B: Good idea. When's good for you?
A: Friday night at 9 o'clock.
B: sorry, I can't , I have to study on friday.
A: Wen how about sunday?
B: yes, that's good for me.
Today in English class we were teaching the topic of comparatives.
We also practiced the pronunciation of comparative words.
Example: small-smaller.
good-better. Tall-Taller. Cute- Cuter
large-larger. Sunny- Sunnier. Conservative- more conservative
heavy-heavier. Late- Later. Popular- More Popular
big-bigger. Red-Redder. Interesting- More Interesting
We practiced a conversation with Mr. Armando, it was a casual conversation inside a clothing store, I'll leave them below.
A: Excuse me, do you have this yellow t-shirt in medium size?
B: Yes, we do. here you go.
A: Thanks.
B: Would you lake to take?
A: Yes please, thanks for you help.
B: My pleasure.
This week the teacher asked us what we were wearing that day.
Some students said they were wearing their college uniforms, others said they were wearing jeans with t-shirts and tennis shoes, while today I wore my dark royal blue polo shirt with light blue jeans and my brown shoes.
